Background: The global IoT market is expected to reach USD 457 billion by 2020. For India to be a hub of IoT solutions building on its software strength, it is a natural evolution. However, building IoT solutions have various challenges like provisioning, monitoring, security and interoperability. Understanding of global standards will enable software developers to monetise their solutions globally and build a wider ecosystem. The workshop provides hands-on knowledge of oneM2M, a global standard with contributions from many countries including India and poised to be a de-facto standard for smart city and other large scale applications.
